Such a cute place! The food is very fresh and although the portions are a little on the small side however the taste is great. I love the atmosphere it creates almost as if you are at someone's house:) I had their mushroom soup and it wonderful! Presentation of the dishes are all done tastefully as well! I just wish I lived closer to enjoy it more!

Yummy! My husband has been eating lunch here for awhile and took me there yesterday. The food is original and delicious! The mushroom soup is fabulous!! They have desserts that they make daily. We had a sampler if each of them. Amazing! They take reservations so it is a great place for friends to meet and enjoy great food in a wonderful atmosphere.

Mom and I came here a few times while my Dad was in rehab nearby. The selections were always fresh and delicious. I loved the mushroom hazelnut soup - creamy and savory. Come early as they do run out of favorites - no microwaved frozen dishes here.

We randomly found this place on Yelp while visiting family in the area, and it was a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I had the roast beef sandwich and the gazpacho blanco. The sandwich was great but the highlight was the soup. So good, fresh and creamy cucumber with a lively hum of garlic in the background. My wife raved about her cream of mushroom as well. Portion size was nice and light and prices were spot on.

My mother and I come here for lunch every week. It offers a healthy lunch choice with an upscale service. The food is delicious, I always get the cream of Mushroom soup with Hazelnut-my absolute favorite and a must have. The service here is extremely welcoming and personal. The chef makes everything fresh, and always garnishes everything beautifully with everything on your plate edible, even the flowers! (: my favorite lunch place! Be forewarned, this is a small family owned restaurant, so make sure you bring cash to pay (:

Currently the place is only open for lunch between 11 and 2 on weekdays, so I hadn't been able to visit until a couple of weeks ago. First things first, the location was in the older (but relatively safe) part of town with a lot of older buildings and closed businesses nearby. The restaurant itself was in an old unassuming store. The first thing I noticed walking in was that the tables and chairs were all different and mismatched, the silverware too. Honestly this was the first restaurant I've visited with such random set up, and it actually felt homy in a quirky way. The menu was short, but it listed uncommon fares and it relied heavily on daily specials, which was great because that means it would change from day to day. I picked the cucumber gazpacho while my wife got the mushroom soup. My gazpacho showed up with a real flower in it, which was a complete and pleasant surprise. The taste was just the right shade of refreshing, and the mushroom soup was really nice too. For the main course I picked the portobello with shrimp and crab because I love seafood and I have never had this particular meal before. It tasted great, about as great as it looked, as it was also garnished with real flowers. The missus' quiche was also wonderful. I rarely order desert, but considering the unique menu I just had to order one out of curiosity. Desert for the day was their special cheesecake pulled out of the oven moments ago. They had to chill it first because otherwise it would have been too hot to enjoy. The cheesecake didn't disappoint, and served as a satisfying finish. Overall this was a solid five-star experience from a local family restaurant. I can't recommend it enough, and I'm looking forward to the opportunity to visit again. Oh, they only take cash (and probably check if you're a regular). Remember this so you don't get caught unprepared, although there's a Wells Fargo bank branch & ATM about 250 yards east.

I can't give much of a review here... I came in all excited to try this restaurant but had a poor experience. No parking close by, came in and the restaurant was FREEZING. The restaurant was well done and adorable, but the chair I was sitting in was broken and wobbly. The location is strange, right next to a speedway. I was ready to order a feast but read the fine print on the menu that they didn't accept credit cards. No good if you're traveling for business! I can't comment on the food, but the menu looked good! Unfortunately I had to leave because of the credit card issue.

Lunch was AMAZING! I had the Quiche with spinach and artichokes, paired with a pasta salad. This little place is a true gem! They hand grind their coffee and have plenty of unique dining options. Everything on the menu sounds good. Parking was a challenge but well worth it.

Delicious and fresh food!! Came here a few days in a row when I was in town for work. Only downside is it's cash only, still giving it five stars!

Happened upon this delightful cafe when we took a wrong turn --- now considered the right turn! Lovely ambience, warm and friendly staff, wonderfully delicious food, fresh and pleading to the eye. Can't wait to return and try everything on the menu. The mushroom soup with hazelnut is amazing!

Thyme of Grace catering is absolutely amazing! Michele and her staff are easy to work with and do an exceptional job. Thyme of Grace recently catered our couples' shower, wedding reception and bridal brunch. For our couples showers, they put together a great selection of mini sandwiches and side salads. Everything was fresh with a unique spin (nothing ordinary about it!). We also had platters of the same sandwiches put together for the bridal party as we were getting ready before the wedding. Our wedding reception took place at the Oliver Gardens in South Bend with a tent on the lawn, which can be a bit of a challenge for a caterer. We opted for a cocktail party reception and wanted to make sure great food was available to our guests all evening. We met with Michele to plan the menu and she captured our vision perfectly. Some of our food items included artisan cheeses, tequila lime shrimp, beef tenderloin, cavier topped potatoes and much more. Everything was beautiful displayed and matched our decor perfectly. Michele's staff is always on hand to make sure the food is refreshed and plates are immediately cleared. My dad hosted a brunch for us the morning after the wedding and once again, Thyme of Grace did an exceptional job with the food - prime rib, oysters, potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, mini grilled cheese sandwiches and a wonderful raspberry chocolate cake. You won't find a better caterer in the area (and they happen to be very competitively priced!). The restaurant is also a charming place and great for a nice lunch!

Top shelf. Owner puts a ton of thought into the decor, food presentation, and of course, the food. The best place to bring your mom for lunch period.

This is one of the best deals in the area. They have all the foo foo stuff that the kids seem to be enjoying these days, and you'll have money left over to tip your wonderfully kind and entertaining server. Definitely the most feminine place in town since Higher Grounds was forced out. All of the Soups, Sandwiches, Salads, and various other things on the menu are very very good, prepared with love in the kitchen, served to you in your fancy little nook. Try the bacon wrapped dates, or the roast beef, cheddar, and chipotle mayo sandwich. Just make sure they bring you out some coleslaw... oh my god that shit was goood. You may not have room for dessert if you finish your plate, but it's worth being a glutton if you choose to do so. Just don't get too excited and swing your arms around, because the place is very small and decked out with a shitload of tiny delicate decorations.

Nice spot for lunch, cozy. The food is very good. My aunt told us the mushroom soup was to die for, and my father had it and said it was very good as well. I ordered a sandwich with cranberries, and they were out of cranberries that day... sigh... but it was still good. I would definitely dine here again.

I stopped in for an early lunch, and had just the sort of outstanding experience I was hoping for at a local non-chain restaurant. I started with the fresh brewed mango tea. I hesitated to try it - as I've had so many glasses that were more mango than tea - but it was subtle and well-balanced, which seems to be a specialty at ToG. I ordered a Pear and Onion fresh salad - as a side - which came topped with crumbled Gorgonzola & finely chopped walnuts, and a balsamic vinegar reduction dressing on the side. For the entree, I went with the chicken and spinach tort, that was perfectly cooked, which is not easily accomplished, and it was delicious. Each dish came beautifully garnished with a flower, and the restaurant was equally well decorated in a bright and sunny fashion, even on a such a winter day. I very much recommend stopping in at Thyme of Grace, any time you have the chance. Bring cash: the prices are reasonable, but they're not plastic-friendly!

Stopped here for lunch with my family and had a fabulous time. My dad ordered a special salad that they made just for him for his dietary reasons and my mom and I had the mushroom special of the day. I don't remember the exact name of the dish. But it was delicious and the edible flowers were I nice touch. Cozy and darling place to eat. Great sense of humor and we chatted with the lady there for a little while when we went to pay the check. Be sure to bring cash or check with you when you go though, because they don't accept credit cards!

I'm always looking for a lunch place to stop at while I'm on the road for work and this is the absolute best lunch I've ever had. I stopped because of the other reviews and they're all right on point, this place is amazing. Such a relaxing atmosphere. The homemade food, soups teas and desserts are incredible. I never order dessert, not even with dinner but had to because the rest of the meal was so outstanding. Stop here!!!!

Excellent little lunch place with a very creative menu. The bacon wrapped dates, quiche, and moussaka were all excellent, as was the blackberry iced tea. Known for its desserts (rightly so!) and its soups, this is a great little diner. Unfortunately it is open only for weekday lunches and only takes cash. It is a little pricey, too, costing about $20/person for a full lunch.

My family has used Tyme of Grace to cater a variety of different events (wedding shower, business luncheons, and corporate dinners) and every single time they have knocked it out of the park. The food is consistently delicious, thoughtful, and beautiful. The service is always very friendly, willing, and professional. I should also mention we've stopped by the cafe for lunch several times, and it's delicious! It's a breath of fresh air in the area - fresh, healthy, yummy dishes.

Amazing! We were floored by the beautiful presentation of the food and the food itself. Michele catered my small wedding reception (40ppl) and did an amazing job. Mushroom appetizers were fantastic and she seasoned the roast perfectly. Grilled vegetables were fantastic. I highly recommend her for wedding receptions. She really is upscale at a very affordable rate. Only reason to not give 5 stars is that I prefer to do business by email (I'm hard of hearing and can't answer the phone during weekday day hours) and she prefers phone, which made weeks go by without being in contact when putting together the contract. I starting planning early though so we had plenty of time to sort it all out. She really is fantastic and knows what she is doing. If I ever have another South Bend event to have catered, I will certainly be calling her for the job!

The food is at Thyme of Grace is fabulous. Like others have said, the soups and desserts always stand out. Where Thyme of Grace really shines is the events. My family has thrown birthday parties and wedding showers with Michelle, and we couldn't have been happier. It's the perfect size, atmosphere, and food for any type of party you are planning!

Thyme of Grace recently catered a very large Art Reception for me. It was "over the top"! Michelle did an awesome job with sweets, cheeses and her pesto torte. Each tray was a work of art (fitting for an art show!) The table was elegant. The service was excellent, and my guests were raving! Michelle is a visual and a culinary artist! She gets my highest recommendation!

A secret gem in Mishawaka. This is a great place for lunch. The food is priced well. Portion size is good. Unique flavor combinations. The owners cook and serve in a quaint tea room atmosphere. A perfect spot for a business lunch.

SO IMPRESSED with the freshness of the food, the presentation, the made from scratch, the wonderful blending of flavours in all the food. The soups are incredible.Nothing is canned nor premixed nor frozen here. I don't have enough adjectives to say how wonderful each bite of food is. It begs to be savored! THYME of Grace is my vote for "the top drawer" foodie place in the entire Michiana area for unique, awesome taste, real food!

This is one of my favorite lunch spots in the area. The perfect place for professional lunches without being stuffy. The soups are a must have. My favorites are the cream of hazelnut mushroom, chilled avocado, and corn chowder. The desserts are fantastic as well: cheesecake made in house (orange dreamsicle, caramel banana, triple berry, etc), bread pudding, lemon lime tart. Make it a point to try this place out! The presentation is a feast for the eyes!
